At McCurdy Body Works we want to make repairing your damaged vehicle as simple and hassle free as possible. Below are some frequently asked question. If your question isn’t listed below, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team at (626) 796-7763.
How long will the repair process take?
After we inspect your vehicle we will give you an estimated finish date. The collision repair process depends on the amount of damage and the vehicle type. We recommend you talk to us prior to your scheduled drop-off so that we can order the parts (if needed) for a quicker turnaround time.
Why should I go to McCurdy and not my insurance's recommended body shop?
Because, you have the right to choose any auto body shop you decide. Your insurance company may want you to go to their preferred auto body shop. At McCurdy we work for the customer and not the insurance company. We fight to get your car repaired with quality/factory parts and back to safe operating condition. Your insurance company’s recommended shop may take short-cuts or put used parts on your vehicle to save them money.
I don't have another car, can I get a rental?
It depends, if you were hit the other party’s insurance company should get you a vehicle comparable to what you were driving. If you were liable you need to check your insurance policy to see if you have rental coverage. If you are paying out-of-pocket no worries we work with several rental companies and we can get you into a rental vehicle.
What are the different type of parts that can be used on my car?
There are three different kinds of parts. 1) Factory OEM ( Original Equipment Manufacturer) these parts come straight from the dealership. 2) LKQ (Like Kind and Quality) these are considered aftermarket parts. 3) Used parts, these are parts taken from other vehicles or junk yards. Depending on your insurance and policy the appropriate part is installed. We fight for our customers and McCurdy refuses to put on any part that is deemed unsafe or damaged.
